The Puerto Rico Department of Education (PRDE) requested Authority for the Financing of the Infrastructure of Puerto Rico (AFI) to conduct an inventory and assessment of short columns presence in 727 schools around the Island. As a result, 685 schools were found to have short columns in their structures.


ARCUX was awarded for performing Inspection services for 22 schools in the Mayagüez region, including those in Aguada, Aguadilla,Mayagüez, Cabo Rojo, Añasco, San Sebastián and Moca.


ARCUX was responsible for all aspects of quality control, inspecting construction drawings and specifications, certifying each project to the Permits Management Office (OGPe), filling any necessary documents, submitting reviews, coordinating weekly meetings, analyzing change orders and schedules, and recommending claims, reviewing, and signing contractor invoices.
